Inv. # 030919. 3 volumes bound in full tan leather by Zaehnsdorf; marbled endpapers, all edges yellow; brown labels on spine. "Junius: Including Letters by the Same Writer, under other signatures, (now first collected.) To which are added, his Confidential Correspondence with Mr. Wilkes, and his Private Letters addressed to Mr. H.S. Woodfall. With a Preliminary Essay, Notes, Fac-similes, &c." According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, this is "the first new edition [since the 1772 Stat nominis umbra authorized edition] of real importance [and] was issued by the Woodfall Family in 1812. It contained the correspondence of Junius with H.S. Woodfall [who first published Junius's letters in his Public Advertiser], a selection of the miscellaneous letters attributed to Junius, facsimiles of his handwriting, and notes by Dr. Mason Good." Contains fold-out facsimiles of Junius's letters. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall
