London the Edinburgh Society 1911 Limited/Numbered Edition; First Printing Hardcover Very Good with no dust jacket
Inv. # 1511. 14 volumes, complete as issued. Brown speckled Buckram boards, with publisher's paper label on spines. The label is lettered in brown, with a narrow decorated border of blue and gold, within which appears the arms of Magdalen College, Oxford. Limited to 480 numbered sets, of which this is No. 14. Printed on thick-wove paper (8 3/4" x 6"), with top edges gilt and sides and bottom untrimmed. According to Mason's Bibliography, this edition was one of two authorized for America, and was printed from the same plates as the 1910 Ross (Authorised American) edition, which in turn was printed from the stereotyped plates of the 1908 Methuen edition (with the exception of The Picture of Dorian Gray). Each volume has two or more illustrations. The set has all the points listed in the Mason Bibliography. ; 8vo
