These are the classic illustrations of the novels, loved by many, but apparently not a reviewer in Academy 55 in 1898, who sniffed: "The value of Messrs. Brock's [sic] illustrations is another matter. We have long been convinced that Jane Austen's characters refuse to fit any artist's mould." ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall
