Inv. # 815C. Silver Plate. 6" H, 4 1/2" W, 2 3/8" D. These silver-plated bookends from the 1920's are replicas of the famous statue "End of the Trail" by James Earle Fraser. The statue was originally sculpted for the San Francisco Panama-Pacific Exposition in 1915. The plaster original is now in the entryway of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. The original bronze statue is in Shaler Park in Waupun, Wisconsin.
